How I Work

What matters to me, whether I’m working with a first time buyer or an experienced client, is that I do a good job.  Good – is in the details.

There are the usual steps - finding the right home, deciding the best way to pay, understanding the purchase contract, and sifting through volumes of paperwork. Then, there is the ‘unpredictable’ - what you don’t expect. This is when I am of most value to you. Through encountering dozens of unique and challenging situations I’ve learned what to anticipate and to avoid, the importance of a strategy, and an understanding of how to put it all together.

I offer an online or printed Guidebook for Buyers and Guidebook for Sellers, which a page at a time covers the many intricate details of the transaction from start to finish. In bridging the aesthetic side with the technical side I am confident that my clients will be able to make wise choices.

Where I Work

I know Alameda like the back of my hand – the neighborhoods, schools, services, city ordinances, and local real estate customs. I keep current on the daily changes in real estate. I work in neighborhoods I know and understand to keep you from risk.  Should Alameda not be your first choice, I have skilled and conscientious agents that work in the 13 surrounding east bay cities.

I want my clients to know what they are buying.  I don’t want them, to make a mistake by paying too much, choosing the wrong neighborhood for their lifestyle, buying a house not in the condition it appears to be in, or entering into a contract that gives them little, or no protection. I will point out the pros and cons of a particular home and location.  It’s rewarding to help people get the home they want.  Many of my past clients stay in their homes for many, many years.  That tells me they made the right choice.

How to Get Started

Stop by our office, a cute Tudor in central Alameda, or let’s meet for coffee. I’ll show you the different neighborhoods and take you by my favorite places. We’ll talk about your goal and how you can get there. I’ll get you up to speed on what you need to do.

After twenty years of selling homes in Alameda I work with many referrals from past clients, but I always enjoy and welcome new clients.  I look forward to meeting new people and making homeownership part of your life.
